4D Jones have been tearing up the Rhythm & Blues rule book for three decades! They’ve become favourites at Red Rooster and Camp Bestival. Taking their cue from the British Beat’n Blues Boom of the 60s, they throw eclectic and downright odd ingredients into their garage-infested twisted musical stew. Guaranteed noodley-solo-free - expect a unique and frantic performance from this bunch of punkybluesabilly groovers.

Backbone Blues Band

Backbone Blues are a tight six-piece blues outfit of drums, bass, guitars, and piano/organ who toured USA in 2024 finally playing the main stage at the King Biscuit Blues Festival on the Mississippi, and Morgan Freeman’s Ground Zero Blues Club in Clarksdale. Earlier this year Backbone won the ‘peoples’ choice’ at the UK Blues, Rhythm & Rock Festival in Blackpool and were invited back to play the main stage there in January 2025.

Blues Boys Kings are a rock blues band, consisting of Jase and Sami North, Stevie Keys, and Jeff Rich. They have supported top blues bands and Sami was nominated for Best Blues Bassist in the British Blues Awards.

Egypt

Egypt is a UK blues rock three-piece band formed in 1987 by Eric Chipulina - guitar and vocals, Alan Fish - bass and vocals, Peter Correa on drums. All three are former members of legendary blues outfit The Groundhogs. They have featured on several albums and toured throughout the UK and Europe over many years. Alan has played with members of Welsh heavy rock pioneers Budgie, on two albums for ex-Bo Diddley harp player Billy Boy Arnold, and a European tour for Chuck Berry.

Ged Wilson is a British blues musician with a contemporary feel. Born in Manchester, he carries a northern musical heritage and influences from Lightnin’ Hopkins, Miles Davis, and Bob Dylan. Goldrusha Formed in 2016 in Norwich, this popular five-piece blues band is a regular at the festival. The band has performed at The Ballyshannon Rhythm and Blues Festival, Tuesday Blues, and opened for Jamie Williams, The Roots Collective, The Zac Schulze Gang, and The Mighty Small. They will be playing at the Blues Rhythm and Rock Festival UK and Rory Gallagher Festival UK after Dereham.

Jed Potts & the Hillman Hunters

Jed Potts and the Hillman Hunters are a Scottish trio, providing deep grooves and rude shuffles since 2008. They have opened for artists like Ian Siegal, Nimmo Brothers, and The Hoax. Jed Potts is a chronic overachiever and has played with other beat-combos, including The Blueswater, Swampfog, and The Katet. In 2022, the band released their first album, ‘Swashbuclin’, Regulars to the festival will know this band is a treat and deliver a highly entertaining quality package.

He has toured Germany and played with such names as Chris Barber and The Kinks bass player Jim Rodford. He has also been the front man for “John Slaughter’s Blues Band” and “CC Blues Band”.

Robin Bibi Band / Jam Session

Robin Bibi Band have been exciting, inspiring and entertaining audiences in the U.K., Ireland , Europe and the USA for almost 20 years and they just keep on increasing their energy and originality with every show! After an extended period of ” Dues Paying” during which they played at almost all the major UK blues festivals appearing with artists such as Van Morrison , Chuck Berry, Bob Geldof , Dr Feelgood, UB40, Focus, Hawkwind, and many more.. Also releasing four studio and five live albums, Robin recently signed a deal with Ashwood Records and released his most original and critically acclaimed studio album “No More A Secret” which received extensive AirPlay on local and national radio and peaked at Number 2 in the Independant Blues Broadcasters Association playlist.

Robin's gig is alongside the traditional Festival Sunday open jam session.

Established in 2012, RockavoX is an independent rock choir offering it’s own unique spin on well-known rock and pop tracks of the past 70 years! Based in Dereham and Swaffham and part of the J.D.T. Music Academy, RockavoX performs at venues and gigs across Norfolk, raising money for charities and supporting the academy’s Big Build Project. Saltshaker Since 2008 Saltshaker have been offering their unique dynamic blend of raw, up-tempo, acoustic blues and originals. Santiago & The Soulmovers

Led by passionate Argentine singer- songwriter and guitarist Santiago Periotti, the London-based Soul Movers boast three albums and a devoted following. Santiago’s career took off in 2014 when he joined Mo’ Blues, recording and touring Latin America. As a solo artist, he mesmerised audiences in Australia, New Zealand, Italy, and South America. In 2021, he collaborated with producer Wayne Proctor and co-writer Oli Brown to form Santiago and the Soulmovers, blending Blues Rock with Soul and a touch of Nashville flair.

Slim Willson and the Swamp Brothers

Sheffield based harmonica maestro Slim Willson explores the darker side of Americana while honing his guitar skills. Blending originals with songs from legends like John Hiatt and Tony Joe White, he leads a top-tier blues ensemble. His band, The Swamps, delivers rich, authentic sounds, having recorded two well-received CDs. Their dynamic performances have earned them gigs at the Colne RnB Festival Fringe, Sheffield CAMRA Beer Festival, and Cleethorpes Rail Ale Festival.

Tom Davies & The Bluebirds formed in 2019. The band is a three-piece blues band led by Tom Davies as guitarist/singer-songwriter, Si Davis on bass and Gary Lyons on drums. They are all seasoned musicians and have performed across the UK & Ireland including Wickham Festival, Victorious Festival, Honeyfest Festival and a return to Ballyshannon Rhythm & Blues Festival as well as the UK club circuit. Tony Edwards’ Blues Express Band leader Tony is Norfolk’s very own blues guitar supremo (and Norfolk Blues Society’s jam session favourite). The band plays “rockin’ good time” guitar led blues. This four-piece band has been put together just to perform for the Dereham Blues Festival 2025. Tony is assisted by Norfolk Blues Society house-band regulars Andy Cooper (Hammond Organ), Stewart Aitken (Bass) and ace drummer Geoff Cooper coming out of retirement only for this festival appearance . Uncalled Four

Uncalled Four are all old enough to know better, and yet young enough to play old school Rhythm & Blues with a spring in the step and a twinkle in the eye. And that’s R&B of the broadest church with a twist of blues, a twang of country and a trace of Americana. A couple of original tunes jostle side by side with classics from BB King, Ray Charles, Georgie Fame, Bonnie Raitt, Stephen Bruton, Ry Cooder, and many more. Firm Norfolk venue favourites.

From the 1940’s tunes of Louis Jordan to the contemporary songs of Gary Clark Jr via Tom Waits, Buddy Guy et al, this band delivers! Having performed at festivals and music venues on both sides of the border, by popular demand, yet again, this Glasgow-based Rhythm n’ Blues outfit bring their brand of good time, foot stompin’ tunes back to Dereham.
